Purpose before placement

Volunteering should add value without adding risk.

Placements are matched to genuine organisational needs, relevant experience and available supervision. Direct contact with children is never automatic.

Contribute practical or professional experience in carpentry, metalwork, electrical work, plumbing, construction, communications, research, safeguarding, programme learning, administration or resource mobilisation.

02

Safeguarded

Every placement follows RMFSL’s child-protection standards, confidentiality requirements and appropriate screening.

03

Supervised

Roles have a defined purpose, an RMFSL contact person and an agreed period of service.
