The protection gap
Children living and working on the streets must be recognised as children in need of protection. Authorities need a lawful, dependable referral pathway when immediate safety is required.
Why We Exist
Protection should not end when a child leaves the street.
A rescue, placement or school enrolment can appear successful while the conditions that caused crisis remain unresolved. RMFSL exists to build the preparation between immediate protection and a lasting return.
The recovery gap
Removal from danger is only the beginning. Children need safe routines, trusted relationships and structured support before major decisions are made.
The readiness gap
A child may be ready before a caregiver is, or a family may be willing before it is prepared. RMFSL observes both sides and delays transition when safety or readiness remains unclear.
The verification gap
A handover does not prove reintegration. Follow-up at 4, 8 and 12 weeks tests whether safety, participation and stability are holding after return.
